Beyond The Black Board
A movie to watch and learn from, a movie for you as a teacher, a student, a mother, a father, a movie for every single person who think life is tough and he is not thankful.
Ill talk a bit about the movie, in which am sure ill increase your stimuli to watch.
Beyond the blackboard itself is a message to every aspirant for education. Entering the depth of the title’s words, reveals this message meaning where your ambition should be embodied under the heading of being an educator not just a teacher. Most likely students will spend time with you more than their parents who in turn rely on you to raise their children for a bright future, moreover and depending on the idea of time-spent and as teacher I should be aware that my students are a reflection of what I teach in their social life. A verse for Ahmad Chawki, famous poet, said: “Stand for the teacher and glorify him … He could have been a messenger”, in this verse the poet shows what a great role a teacher holds, where he puts him in place near reaching prophecy and exalt his rank. Most likely this ambition is inspired by specific or different teachers, or it could be the general school environment where its dominant atmosphere is safe and comfortable to adopt the idea that class is your future place. And this is what “Beyond The Blackboard” is about, where a student called stacy who whenever she sits on her desk she collects glimpses where she wanted to be as a teacher, affected by school environment and teacher being it’s her safe zone opposite to what she passed through in a non-comfortable house and parents frequent fights. Quitting school at the age of 15, marrying her high school lover, her enthusiasm didn’t disappear and she graduated at the age of 23. A mother for two children and a great husband, out of experience, accepted to teach students from grades one to six located in one room as one class opposite to reality. Those children study and sleep in a shelter who cuddles their parents too where neither warmth nor safety and care and noticing cups are the main controller there.
